WHO AFRICA AMR CAMPAIGN

Illustration and Graphic Design for a Health Campaign. In collaboration with Shape History for the World Health Organization (WHO).

THE CHALLENGE

Antimicrobial resistance (or AMR) is one of the top 10 global public health threats currently facing humanity. Because AMR makes even simple infections harder to treat, it’s countries with weaker health care systems that are suffering the most. It’s a problem driven by the abuse, misuse or overuse of medicines like antibiotics.

Even though everyday actions contribute to this issue, most people aren’t aware of it, and it’s a complex topic to explain.

THE SOLUTION

An informative, engaging and playful educational campaign across the continent to educate young people, health workers, and policy makers, to help stop the further emergence and spread of antimicrobial resistance.

This included compelling social media content, an immersive website, downloadable resources (posters and factsheets) and all assets translated in English, French and Portuguese.

THE RESULT

Content seen over 100 million times + 600,000 engagements
